Labels & tracking
For labels and tracking, the recommended setup is Sendcloud’s own Etsy and Shopify integrations. They handle the shipping side end to end, which lets SKUvio stay focused on what it does best — keeping your stock and orders in sync. You get a clean split: Sendcloud ships, SKUvio syncs.
Sendcloud native is the primary path
Sendcloud’s native integrations connect directly to your Etsy and Shopify stores and take care of the whole fulfilment flow:
- Creating shipping labels for your orders.
- Marking orders as sent once they ship.
- Pushing tracking numbers back to buyers on Etsy and Shopify.
- Sending the shipping notification emails.
This is the path we recommend — it’s the most complete, it’s the setup Sendcloud maintains and supports, and it needs no extra steps inside SKUvio. You configure it once in your Sendcloud panel, and from then on your orders flow into Sendcloud for shipping while they flow into SKUvio for syncing. Because Sendcloud owns the shipping emails, buyers get the notifications they expect, in Sendcloud’s format.
The in-app fallback
SKUvio also has a secondary label flow on the Orders page, for the occasions you’d rather make a label without leaving the app:
- Create Label — generate a Sendcloud label for an order from inside SKUvio.
- Print Label — open the label to print.
- Reconcile from Sendcloud — pull the latest shipping status back in, so an order labelled elsewhere shows as handled here too.
In everyday use, Sendcloud’s native integrations already cover all of this, so most sellers won’t need the in-app flow. It’s there as a convenience and a backstop — not the main event.
Which should I use?
If you’re setting up for the first time, start with Sendcloud’s native Etsy and Shopify integrations and leave shipping to them. Only reach for SKUvio’s in-app labels if you have a specific reason to make a label from within the app. Either way, your stock and orders keep syncing through SKUvio exactly the same.
